Dai Davies

Dai Davies has degrees in Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Cambridge. He is one of the founder General Managers of DANTE, the pan-European Research network organisation that was set up in July 1993. Dai was Director of the Management Unit, based in Amsterdam. He is now involved in the implementation of the next generation network, GÉANT2. This network incorporates a range of network technologies. The whole of this development environment is used to interconnect with other similar national facilities.
Furthermore, he has held a number of senior technical and commercial positions with European telco’s.
