Opening Wireless Security at the Open1X Project
The OpenSEA Alliance was founded in 2007 to develop an open-source reference implementation of an 802.1X supplicant. The supplicant runs on multiple operating system platforms, and is portable to new classes of devices. An extensible and re-skinnable multi-platform GUI can be customized by users. Further customization is possible with a new plug-in architecture that allows extension of built-in functions as well as endpoint integrity assessment. This presentation will describe the supplicant's design and capabilities, and close with a discussion of how attendees can volunteer to assist with future development.
