Simple, but Secure! - simpleSAMLphp

simpleSAMLphp is a lightweight implementation of several federation protocols written in native PHP. In the GÉANT2 JRA5 project eduGAIN, educational federations are being connected using federation bridges (eduGAIN bridging elements). In addition to be able to act as a separate service provider or identity provider, simpleSAMLphp may bridge different federation protocols. Protocols include: Shibboleth 1.3, SAML 2.0, A-Select, PAPI and OpenID. simpleSAMLphp is extremely simple to install, configure, maintain and use, and has gained huge interest in the educational environment as well as by some commercial companies.
