Interdomain SLAs Enforcement In Real QoS-Enabled Networks
Providing end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees for inter-domain calls remains a challenge for next generation Internet. As various real-time and bandwidth-sensitive applications are migrating to the IP Networks the need for QoS is becoming acute. In this paper we present a framework for dynamic management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs); the framework allows the dynamic creation, configuration and delivery of an end-to-end SLA from per-domain’s SLAs via automated management. The proposed SLA framework has been adopted by GEANT through the Advanced Multi-domain Provisioning System (AMPS) and provides SLAs for the inter-domain reservations made via the AMPS.
