RadSec - Enhanced Security, Reliability and Flexibility for the RADIUS protocol

This talk presents RadSec, a wrapper around the RADIUS packet payload which is more reliable (using TCP as a transport layer), more secure (by using TLS public-key cryptography) and more flexible (by establishing a trust fabric which is independent of IP addresses and shared secrets) than standard RADIUS. It provides an overview of the protocol itself as well as its current status in the standardisation process of the IETF.
The development and standardisation of RadSec is a joint effort of the GEANT2 JRA5 and the TERENA Task Force Mobility.
