The authentication and authorization infrastructure of perfSONAR MDM

The Joint Research Activity 1 (JRA1) in the GÉANT2 project, in cooperation with Internet2, ESnet and the Brazilian NREN, has defined a general framework for a multi-domain network measurement infrastructure.
This framework, called perfSONAR, provides a set of services delivering performance measurements in a federated environment.
The Authentication and authorization Service (AS) of perfSONAR is intended to provide a full Authentcation and Authorisation suite to the project, upon upon the architecture defined by eduGAIN, the multi-federation AA infrastructure developed by the JRA5 in the GÉANT2 project. This talk will introduce the specific AA requirements of the perfSONAR environment and the novel mechanisms defined to deal with them in eduGAIN.
