Prototype of MPLS/GMPLS path-based booking system for user-oriented BoD services
To realize BoD service effectively, a user-oriented booking system to deal with future bandwidth demand is indispensable. In addition, detailed QoS and optimization of resource utilization at a certain time in the future are of importance and to be implemented as a part of the NMS. The current NMS can only control and manage the resource at present and needs to be extended so as to consider future network resource availability including QoS in addition to the provision of paths with a certain bandwidth. This presentation describes our developed user-oriented MPLS/GMPLS path-based booking system in conjunction with the MPLS/GMPLS NMS.
