CineGrid over PBT paths:High quality digital content over L2 engineered path

The CineGrid organization focuses on research, development and production of tools for the distribution of very high quality digital media. CineGrid currently streams 4K (4096x2160) and Quad-HD (3840x2160) movies across high-speed optical networks. These transfers require large amounts of bandwidth and deterministic properties of the data transfer to avoid glitches and frame drops.
We present research on the of usage of next generation L2 technologies (PBT/PBB and/or PLSB) for the guaranteed QoS distribution of CineGrid content and more in general for the distribution of high-quality video material.
