Are we REDI? Research and Education Development Index

Within the GÉANT2 EARNEST foresight study, a Geographic Issues Study took place that aimed to trace and quantify Digital Divide aspects in the NREN environment by producing an enhanced, concrete and structured measuring method of the Research and Education development status. The study resulted to the formulation of a composite indicator, the Research and Education Development Index (REDI), that can help achieve a deeper understanding of the Digital Divide or Digital Inclusion challenges, as well as suggest ways on how to address these challenges and opportunities in a more effective way.
