Session
5C - What is happening? - Network monitoring
Nowdays, users requirements in terms of Quality of service and bandwidth are evolving to be a more user-control, automatic, reliable and interdomain. This session will show some works focused on satisfy these expectations: establishment of MPLS/GMPLS paths for BoD services and the ability to guarantee a uniform QoS SLA even when crossing different domains. But, all these developments have a common denominator: the service monitoring in order to check its quality and even more, be able to react when the network conditions change. Under this approach, a NREN presents its efforts to monitor the quality of another offered service that is being used for the users, IPv6.
